How to Install Interactive Tour Builder

Interactive Tour Builder Free Version

Upload via WordPress Admin

Please log in to your WordPress admin dashboard. In the menu bar on the left, hover over the Plugins option. From the dropdown menu, click on Add New.

In the search bar on the Add Plugins page, type Interactive Tour Builder . Once you see the plugin in the search results, click the Install Now button. After the installation is complete, click the Activate button to enable the plugin.

Upload via FTP

If you want to upload the Interactive Tour Builder plugin via FTP, follow these steps:

  • 1. Download the Plugin: Start by downloading the Interactive Tour Builder plugin as a .zip file from its Get Plugin Zip link.
  • 2. Extract the Plugin: Extract the downloaded .zip file on your computer. This will create a folder containing the plugin files.
  • 3. Connect to Your Website via FTP: Open your preferred FTP client and connect to your website's server using your FTP credentials.

General Options

To add an Interactive Tour Builder, go to the WordPress dashboard and navigate to Tour Builder > Add New Tour.

Tour Builder Steps

  1. Title: Sets the title of the tour step.
  2. Target Element: Specifies the element the step highlights. If it's a class, it should start with ., and if it's an ID, it should start with #.
  3. Side: Determines the position of the popover relative to the element.
  4. Align: Aligns the popover in relation to the target element.
  5. Description: Provides additional information for the tour step.

Interactive Tour Builder Options

  1. Select Style: Choose a predefined style for the tour appearance.
  2. Enable Animation: Enables smooth animation transitions between steps.
  3. Enable Smooth Scroll: Ensures smooth scrolling when navigating through steps.
  4. Allow Keyboard Control: Allows users to navigate the tour using keyboard keys.
  5. Enable Progress: Displays a progress indicator for the tour.
  6. Enable Next Button: Shows the "Next" button to proceed to the next step.
  7. Enable Previous Button: Displays the "Previous" button to return to the previous step.
  8. Show Close Button: Allows users to close the tour at any time.
  9. Next Button Text: Customizes the text displayed on the "Next" button.
  10. Previous Button Text: Customizes the text displayed on the "Previous" button.
  11. Done Button Text: Customizes the text displayed on the final "Done" button.
  12. Popup Over Class: Adds custom CSS classes for styling the tour popover.
  13. Popover Offset: Adjusts the spacing between the popover and the target element.
  14. Select Overlay Color: Sets the background color of the overlay.
  15. Overlay Opacity: Controls the transparency level of the overlay.
  16. Stage Padding: Defines the padding around the highlighted element.
  17. Stage Radius: Sets the border radius for the highlighted area.
  18. Enable Cookie Limit: Saves tour progress using cookies to limit repeated displays.
  19. Display Limit: Restricts the number of times the tour is displayed.
  20. Display on Scroll from Top: Triggers the tour when the user scrolls past a set distance.
  21. Display After Second: Starts the tour automatically after a specified time delay.
  22. Display After Click to Element: Initiates the tour when a specific element is clicked.
  23. Enable On Wordpress admin: Activates the tour functionality within the WordPress admin dashboard.

Auto Populate On

  1. Select Page: Choose a page to automatically populate content.
  2. Select Single Page: Choose a specific single page for auto-population.
  3. Select Taxonomy Terms: Choose taxonomy terms to auto-population this tour.

Display tour by User Role Based

  1. Assign User Roles: Set role-based conditions to determine which user roles (e.g., Administrator, Editor, Subscriber, Guest) can access the tour.
  2. Customize Access: Restrict or allow access to different user groups, ensuring a tailored experience for each type of user.
